Bolga baskets, or Bolgatanga Baskets, are handwoven baskets from northern Ghana's Bolgatanga region. They are woven from natural elephant grass and plant-based traditional dyes and are mostly celebrated for their unique craftsmanship, vibrant colors, exceptional durability, and sustainable qualities. Bolga baskets are exclusive to the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, and skilled artisans of the region use traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations to create each exquisite basket, thereby preserving the traditional art form. How do i care for my Bolga Basket?

Cleaning your Bolga Basket is a simple process. Start by rinsing it under running water to remove dust and dirt. Occasionally, mix a mild dish soap with warm water and gently scrub using a soft cloth. Then, rinse and dry. If your Bolga Basket has developed mould due to extended exposure to water, apply lemon juice to the affected area and leave to dry under sun, this will get rid of the mould.
